What I'm Hearing..

...ever wonder what is going on in the blogroom here?.... no?... yeah, that's what I figured.... bastards... anyway... I'm listening to some more Zevon.. and, since Harvey wanted to sample some more of his penultimate collection... here goes...

"I was in the house when the house burned down"....

"For my next trick, I'll need a volunteer"....

and, the incredible...

"Dirty Little Religion"...

...that's it, kiddies... that's all for tonight... but, stay tuned tomorrow for another post of requests... most notably "Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner"... and "Excitable Boy".... two more classic Zevon experiments....

I became one of "those people" the other day on the bus, Warren in my headphones when I found everyone staring at me. I realized I'd been pretty loudly singing "Wah-ooooo, Werewolves of London...Wahoooooooo!"
It's all your fault, Zevon. You had to be so damn good.

...been there, LeeAnn... it is almost impossible NOT to sing along to that song!

YAY! I'll download that tonight when I get home from work.

I don't really like Werewolves of London. Probably because it gets a lot of airplay. Anything that gets airplay carries a certain stigma in my mind. Mostly because I've learned over the years that, almost without exception, the best songs on an album are the ones that DON'T get airplay.
